Stone is a material with a hard and unbreakable facade. This particular peice allows the stone to have a "ready made" attitude. As the artist I have chosen to polish and alter only certain aspects that I felt needed. In order to show the simplicity and balance of the sculpture, the Verde Antique has been penetrated by a shaft of White Marble. I am new to stone, and my sculpture interacts in a way that mimics the new balace of this medium in my life.
