The
Escape has taken a long time to build. I made the clay section
about ten years ago in Buffalo. It looked unfinished, too
insignificant; however, I liked it enough to move it along
to New Hampshire, where one day I decided to extend it.
The
openings had served as vents during the firing. I then discovered
that they had a second meaning. Haven't you ever wished, while
listening to the final aria of Aida that Aida and Ramades
could escape their dark tomb?
