This is the second collaborative piece by Elizabeth and Michael Mayor. Michael collected and split the wood to fit his wife's concept. Attempts to embellish the piece weakened it in their eyes, so here it is in its absolute rawness.

Below, Elizabeth Mayor's woodcut entitled "Endways," 24"X24", 1999. It is somewhat reminiscent of 2001's three dimensional piece.

Elizabeth holds an MFA in sculpture from Tufts-Boston Museum School and is presently working in woodcut as a printmaker. Michael is an endowed professor at the Dartmouth Medical School when he is not working with his tractor in the woods.
