My work is about process. I am attracted to
everyday materials which I transform and put to my own use. In many
ways my installations, whether on the wall or in a field, feel like
musical compositions which always have two lives: the first, as
the piece is conceived and composed and the second, when it is performed.
When I have finished an installation it is photo- documented and
then taken apart. The elements are saved, often to be revisited
in a new context. Finally just as music exists only in time this
work exists for a finite time in a specific setting. |
