The rough nature of sculpture clay gave me this opportunity to develop forms that have close connections to the Greek myth of Pegasus, as well as the more all inclusive idea of man's ability to surmount adversity. I chose to place the pieces in the intimacy of a Birch grove for containment and contrast.
