"The birds were the first to emerge--forms flocking to a sacred
place. The context came the afternoon the radio recounted the bombing
of the U.N. Peacekeeping headquarters in Baghad—captured 'live'
on tape. Talking. Explosion. Light punctured by the darkness. 'Flock'
is in honor of those people throughout the world who devote their
lives to waging peace."
Lisa Razo graduated fromİthe University of Vermontİin 1992 with
a B.A. in Psychology. Since then, she has explored artistic expression
through painting, drawing andİclay. This exploration has been independent
and has involved instruction and inspiration from other artists,
such as Sana Musasama, Kukuli Velarde, Cami Davis and Emily Mason.
She currently teaches ceramics at the UVM Pottery Cooperative. |
